10:00 a.m. Registration begins at Clipper Stadium
11:15 a.m. Trot Kick Off Participants will walk a 1.5 mile route from Clipper Stadium around F&M to Buchanan Park
12:00 p.m.- 4:00 p.m. Festivities at Buchanan Park include fun for the entire family! Enter your pet in our costume contest, stop by our children’s area, and then grab a bite to eat while you enjoy live music and entertainment. Various rescue organizations and vendors will be on hand with pet treats, items, and accessories. Then, enjoy free shuttle service back to your car!
Trot With Friends, For Friends
Step 1: Register as an individual Trotter* or Pack (see below for specific Pack details) by clicking on the start button above.
Step 2: Create your personalized fundraising page.
o Add a picture of you and your pet!
o Tell your story- Did you adopt your pet at the Humane League or do you simply have a passion for helping abused, neglected and homeless animals? Tell people why you think it is so important to support the Humane League.
Step 3: Tell your family, friends, co-workers, neighbors, classmates – everyone you know! The more people you tell, the more $$ you can raise and the more animals you can help. * Each Trotter will receive a goody bag, water bottle, and official Trot t-shirt.
Trot as a Pack
o A Pack is a group of 5 or more people who walk together.
o Packs must raise at least $300 and each individual’s registration counts towards the Pack total.
o Each Pack will have its name or logo on personalized Trot t-shirts and will qualify for Pack prizes.*
*Packs must register by September 20 to receive their personalized t-shirts in time for the Trot
Why We Need YOU to Trot:
Each year over 11,000 animals come to the Humane League. Every day we fight for and work towards making happy endings possible for each and every animal who walks in our door. It’s not always easy; they come to us to be rescued and sheltered while they recover from abuse or neglect. They need medical attention, basic vaccinations, baths, food, warm beds, toys and affection. Most of all, they need a permanent home where they are safe to be sassy, or lazy, or rambunctious, or plump, or goofy, or lethargic, or spoiled and altogether themselves. Often, the potential for a happy ending is masked by fear, hidden under a matted and dirty coat, or buried beneath a troubled past. It takes the caring actions of a community working together to unearth the possibilities of what could be. Our homeless animals are depending on us to help them find their very own "happily ever after!"
