Come with your family to HMEA's 7th Annual Independence 5K Walk/Run in the Park...Sunday, May 18, 2008...Registration: 10:00AM / Step Off: 11:00AM. Your support helps provide critical programs and services to 2000 children and adults with disabilities living in Massachusetts.
Gail Huff of NewsCenter5 hosts this event. It starts with a 'mildly' competitive 5K road) race on a USATF certified course, and a flexible distance (up to 5K) walk. And, to get the kids in on the fun, there's a "Kids Fun Run" that takes place after the Walk/Run. All participants receive a tee-shirt. There's FREE refreshments, entertainment and parking! Our Children's Corner has fun activities for kids of all ages, and there's a fantastic raffle, a FREE Kids raffle, and prizes for the top 3 fundraising walking teams. The first 3 runners, male and female in each age group will receive a prize. Remember...7th Annual Independence 5K Walk/Run in the Park!
