The Humane Society SPCA of Bexar County Abuse & Cruelty Reward Fund has been established to foster awareness and responsibility concerning crimes against animals. Perpetrators of animal crimes pose a danger to the community as a whole, as studies have shown a link between animal abuse and domestic abuse.
When cases of animal cruelty or abuse arise, money from this fund will be used for rewards to individuals who provide tips that lead to the prosecution of the person or persons responsible. This fund will be ongoing to provide an avenue for the public to bring abusers to justice in animal cruelty and abuse cases.
