Sammy was saved from euthanization at a local animal shelter. He was found homeless, a victim of foreclosure. Animal control was called out on a report of an abandoned dog and discovered that Sammy had been left by his owner at the foreclosed property. Its The Pits Dog Rescue was already filled with needy dogs and didn't have any more room; but we couldn't let him die. The only choice we had was to put Sammy up at a kennel until someone was found to foster or adopt him. As you can imagine board & care can quickly become expensive; and we need your help to keep Sammy alive and happy.

Sammy is a friendly and playful boy; he gets along with humans and dogs. He shows evidence of formal training and knows several commands. Sammy is just another innocent victim of our faultering economy. It warms our heart to see him live each day with a "Can-Do" spirit. Please sponsor Sammy...
