Friends,
I cannot believe it's already time for this year's 2008 St. Louis Scleroderma Walk!
Another year gone marks another year of giving thanks for my health. As most of you probably know, I don't like to dwell on the toll that Scleroderma takes on my life. I am a true believer that "50% of life is based on attitude" and although it's not always easy, I try to live by that motto each day. I have to say that 30 treated me well and with the exception of frustrating digestive issues and a few days here and there, it was a super year. Thankfully, I fall into the category of Scleroderma patients that consider the disease a nuisance not a death sentence. Unfortunately, for the 14,000 Missourians afflicted, we are not all so lucky.
I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for donating to the research I truly believe will lead to the discovery of the CAUSE and the CURE for this horrible disease. Last year our walk raised $35,000 of the $1,000,000 divided for research and trials on the disease. Your friendship and the doctors behind us keep me smiling!
Take time today to give thanks for all you have. I hope to see you on the 12th of October for another day of beautiful weather in Creve Coeur Park! You can register and/or donate here or on the morning of the walk. In addition, you can now "Sleep in for a Cure" and we'll send you the t-shirt. Breakfast, raffles, auction and giftbags start at 9am, walk at 11am!

P.S. Don't forget to forward this to anyone you think may be interested in walking, donating or learning. If you didn't already see the Missouri home page, here's the link. It has a great description of Scleroderma everyone can understand. www.firstgiving.com/scl-mo. It also has some pictures too!
