Thank you for visiting the
Triple J's Buddy Walk Party
fundraising page!
It's our 5th Buddy Walk and this year we'd like to invite you to walk along with us!
Join us at the Milwaukee County Zoo, Sunday, September 28th for a fun afternoon of food, silent auctions, raffles, those giant sausage guys and, of course, us! We'd love for you to walk as a part of our team.
To join our team simply click on our Team Name link located in the upper right corner of this page, or you can visit www.firstgiving.com/dsaw
Why is the Buddy Walk important to us?
The walk raises awareness of people with Down syndrome and helps support hopes, dreams and opportunities. Funds raised help the Down Snydrome Association of Wisconsin (DSAW) provide programs that have directly benefitted us--last year we received a DSAW scholarship to help pay for some of Jack Henry's aqua therapy, we attended an outstanding workshop on sensory processing that is helping us be better parents, and DSAW continues to help network us with people who are walking the same walk every day.
But why walk? The answer is simple: it's so empowering to see, in one place at one time, people coming together for the sole purpose of showing support of individuals with Down syndrome. The Buddy Walk's become an annual family reunion of sorts and our annual booster shot of positive hope to carry us through challenges we may face.
If you can't walk in person, join us for a virtual walk
by donating online.
Donating through this website as easy as 1-2-3. You can make your tax-deductible donation online, or if you would prefer, you can mail your contribution to us. Whatever you can give will help - it all adds up. To sponsor us simply press "Sponsor Us Now."
With your support and involvement, our goals of acceptance, inclusion and empowerment will become a reality!
Many thanks for all for your kindess and support -- and thank you for sharing our page with anyone else who you think might want to donate and register to walk as part of our Team.
And hey, we're throwing a party at our house afterwards, so let us know if you can join us for the Triple J's Buddy Walk Party!
Much love & gratitude,
Jack Henry, John & Johanna Allen, aka the Triple J's
