Thank You for Supporting the
Jack Roth Rock'n'Run!
Your participation in the 9th Annual Jack Roth Rock’n’Run benefits the Jack Roth Fund which was created to support research and treatment for lung cancer at the Arthur G. James Cancer Hospital and Richard Solove Research Center at The Ohio State University and Camp Netaim, a program in Israel to benefit children with special needs. To date, the Rock‘n’Run has raised more than $750,000 in support of the Jack Roth Fund.
Getting started is easy!
Jack Roth was a pillar of strength for those around him and provided a unique role model for doing what was right. Jack was truly a rare human being who managed to touch the lives of so many people from different walks of life. He was an avid runner, enjoyed music and was particularly passionate about helping those in need. Diagnosed with lung cancer in March 2004, he waged a valiant nine-month battle against the disease, but lost the fight at the age of 57.
The Jack Roth Rock’n’Run
The Rock’n’Run was originally established in 2006 to honor Jack Roth and his courageous battle against cancer and to benefit the Jack Roth Fund, which is dedicated to Jack’s spirit, passion, and ideals. The race combines those interests and ideals that were most important to Jack and provides an opportunity for family, friends, and local competitive runners to come together to honor Jack, to celebrate, and to contribute to some of the things that were dearest to him.
The run/walk will be held on Sunday, June 8, 2014 at 9:00 am in Bexley, Ohio, with the start/finish at Bexley High School. The 5K course, designed and timed by Premier Races, is open to participants of all ages and prizes are awarded to the top three racers in each age category. Following the race, we invite kids to participate in Max's Track Dash. We had more than 450 runners and walkers participate in 2013, and we anticipate an even greater number this year.
