My name is Jackie Van Name, unfortunately on August 3, 2009, I lost my 54 year old mother to a disease called Scleroderma.  Scleroderma is a chronic autoimmune disease characterized by a hardening or sclerosis in the skin or other organs. She battled this disease for almost 6 years, and because of the medication and chemo she was also diagnosed with cirrosis of the liver.  

I am making this page to raise money to the nonprofit organization: scleroderma foundation.  To help patients and their families cope with scleroderma through mutual support programs, peer counseling, physician referrals, and educational information. Education: To promote public awareness and education through patient and health professional seminars, literature, and publicity campaigns. Research: To stimulate and support research to improve treatment and ultimately find the cause of and cure for scleroderma and related diseases.
