America needs your help with a rescue mission. The current economic crisis has a potential scope of destruction as great as any hurricane or flood. And those of you on Main Street are feeling the impact. Your neighborhood needs the delivery of basic financial literacy survival skills right away. The future of your community—and the country—depends on it.
One of the first targets for disaster relief must be the young people who will inherit our financial legacy—good or bad—and need to have the education and skills to deal with it.
Junior Achievement of Greater Hampton Roads, Inc. has the right programs in place, ready to go—but needs resources to implement them. Working closely with the business and education communities, JA delivers programs that teach K-12 students age-appropriate, hands-on lessons about how to be financially literate.
In this emergency, we ask for your swift assistance. We realize that these are difficult times with many stresses, especially for the wallet. But we also know that JA programs work. If you can provide resources for JA’s relief efforts, the American economy will be the thankful recipient of your consideration.
You can assist by starting your own First Giving webpage to raise funds to support a Junior Achievement classroom, or by giving now through the Donation to this Non-profit. All donation levels are welcomed. $500 brings JA's programs to an entire classroom of students for a semester. This covers all program materials, volunteer training, supplies, service and evaluation for each of the classes taught by business volunteers. As always, JA's programs are free to the schools.
Thank you for your extraordinary fundraising efforts on behalf of JA and the participating student’s.
