My personal message:

As many of you know, children have been my passion for years.  From my years as a child care provider, through my time at Missoula Youth Homes, and now at Prevent Child Abuse Wisconsin, this has never changed.  Now as I look at my daughter, I feel  even more strongly that all children deserve to grow up in a safe, supportive environment.  That is why I am asking you to support the 16th annual SARIS Spoke Out to Keep Kids Safe.  The Spoke Out is our major fundraiser at Prevent Child Abuse Wisconsin.  Proceeds from this event will support our various programs, including Circle of Parents, The Fatherhood Program, the annual Together for Children Conference, the  1-800-CHILDREN, and mandatory reporter training.

Experiencing abuse and neglect can be devastating.  Abused and neglected children are less likely to be school-ready, more likely to be truant and more likely to be teen parents. As they grow up, children who are abused and neglected are more likely to develop chronic illnesses and suffer from depression, alcoholism and drug abuse. They also are more likely to abuse other children.

Each year Wisconsin spends more than $673.3 millon or $1.8 million a day
trying to repair the damage done by child abuse and neglect.  Supporting child abuse and neglect prevention programs like Children's Service Society of Wisconsin's Prevent Child Abuse Wisconsin program will save Wisconsin money in the long run.

Please consider making a donation, registering for the ride, joining Kid Krew (the PCAW team) or starting a team of your own.  All of which can be done through this site.
Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure.  We appreciate your generous support!
