My name is Jan Emanuel-Costley.
I am the Founder and President of Divas For A Cure.

Why is this cause so important to me?  It's very personal.

 "I'm not just a Rider, I'm also a Survivor!"

After struggling through a life threatening illness and battling back from cancer, cardiac arrest and a stroke - I decided that a routine lifestyle would never do.  When life deals you a bad hand, keep smiling, call everyone's bluff and then raise the stakes!  Quitting is not optional.

Divas For A Cure was founded by me out of a very personal experience. Although breast cancer is the most common cancer among women in California, the chance of survival when diagnosed early like myself is as high as 95%.

Divas For A Cure is a Passion with a Purpose! 
Riding has become more than just a past-time. It has become a vehicle to help us spread the word, and enlighten other people, especially women about this disease which does not discriminate. It has no respect of age, sex, race or orgin.

Every Year, Every Mile, Every Dollar Counts...

Over the last three years, Divas For A Cure along with family, friends and our motorcycle community have collectively raised a total of  $110,000.00 which was donated to Breast Cancer Research.  Although our mission was complete - - we are riding until there is a cure.

One out of every 8 women will be diagnosed with Breast Cancer in 2008.  Thousands of women annually are diagnosed with breast cancer, in California alone; more than 21,000 women will hear the words "you have breast cancer." An estimated 4,000 will die.  You do the math across the country!  Then ask yourself why?
