Our fundraiser last year was a great success with our nature walk.  Dave was walking in honor of me (bless his heart) and I wasn't up to walking last year, and we will not be able to go this year because of a family conflict and we will miss the botanical gardens in Clemson this year on June 14.  I know that none of you will be able to actually attend the event, or maybe a few of you will, but I wanted to let you know that I appreciate what you all have done.  People were donating that I didn't even know.  I found out later they were friends of my daughter Penny's.  Thank you, Penny!  I rarely if ever ask for anything, and it's this one time per year when I ask for my charity.  So, I thank you in advance and I appreciate each and every friend and relative who helps to find a cause and cure for this disease.

The nature walk is Saturday, June 14, 2008 at the South Carolina Botanical Gardens in South Carolina.  It's a one mile paved nature walk from 10 to 12 noon.  There will be lunch, a raffle, and a bake sale.  Dogs on leashes are welcome.  Last year we had such a good time.  Believe me, I am relatively new to this disease having had it for only about four or five years, and my heart goes out to many who's struggle is a daily battle.  No one knows for sure what the future holds, but if not for us, we have hope for a cure for future Scleroderma sufferers.  We want them to have a better life than many of us have had and not to be held back from life by this terrible disease.  Thank you all so much for caring.  Any amount is appreciated!  So, if you can only donate a few dollars, that turns into hundreds with other people's help!!!!  Thank you again!!!!
