Thank you for checking out our part in contributing to the Henrico Humane Society. Ron, Trey Jamie and I have been working with HHS for the last 7 years fostering dogs and have succeeded in placing nearly  300 into wonderful homes.  

Due to work schedules, we have not been able to attend adoption stands every week as we did at the onset.  Therefore, we have become the "PROJECT"  foster home where we are able to take in dogs that need alot of love and attention in order for them to be able to turn their lives around and become adoptable. They live with us for quite a long time before they are ready to go out on their own.  Bruin, Martin and Becca  have gone on to their new homes and are flourishing. We get regular updates on all of them.  We are now working on Riley, who came to us terrified of his own shadow who we can now pet and play with, albeit very carefully so as not to spook him.

We are also a sponsorship home where dogs that are too old to be adopted live their lives out with love and in comfort until it is their time to cross the Rainbow Bridge.  Cody and Cindy have crossed the bridge already and we now have Bear, an abandoned Rottie mix, that will be with us until his time comes.

HHS is a 501(c)(3) that is completely supported by donations and fundraising efforts.  To raise money to continue their mission, HHS will be hosting the 3rd Annual Bark in the Park on September 26th.

Ron, Trey, Jamie and I love what we are doing to help dogs find loving homes. The four of us went into this together as a team and have loved all of them.  There have been a lot of tears and a lot of joy at the same time. I shed a tear for the puppies that go on to their new homes and cry for the adult dogs who were not wanted that get adopted. The adults are the hardest.
