I am a mother, grandmother, sister, wife... just like a lot of you. I am an award winning MSF Instructor with special recognition for my work with Deaf and Hard of Hearing Riders. I usually ride several 1000 miles per year on paved roads - this ride - 1,500 miles off-road on dirt bikes will be quite a different story - I'm sure.

We are dedicating this ride to cancer victims and survivors. Riding for such a cause seems a wonderful way to celebrate life and honor those that have passed on. I myself have survived cervical cancer, yet another reason why I want to participate in this wonderful adventure.

I've always wanted to check out the back roads and trails around CO, WYO and SD.  I have  looked often & longingly down those gravel roads that take off seemingly into nowhere from the highways in that part of the country and wondered what wonderful things could I see and experience if I could ride them? This ride was made for me. Now I will get a chance to find out! 

I'm also looking forwards to learning about and getting to know the other adventurous women who have signed on for this fun trip. What motivates a group of strangers to get together for the better part of 2 weeks riding, camping and living together? Well, fund raising for cancer research is one thing... I'll have to fill you in on the other reasons after I ride with the Dirty Dozen 

Besides paying our own expenses, we have all pledged to raise thousands of dollars for the Dr. Susan Love Research Foundation and Gynecologic Cancer Foundation. We all greatly appreciate your donations.
