As ARCS' Director of Public Relations and Resource Enhancement, it certainly makes my job a heck of a lot easier. Donating through this website is simple, fast and totally secure. Though I'm a bit biased, I can honestly say that ARCS does amazing work in really challenging circumstances. Our clients and families face the worst of society's problems--substance abuse, mental illness, devastating health issues, stigma, discrimination, homophobia, hunger, abject poverty, homelessness, racism, and intolerance. Through it all, they can turn to an ARCS employee for help, and there is always someone there to lift them up, inspire them, and empower them to continue to live a healthy, stable life. Your donation helps us to change lives for the better, and what could be more satisfying than that?
At the end of our 2008 AIDS Walk, people kept congratulating me for the atmosphere of warmth, family and inspiration we created. My only reply was, "That wasn't me, or my staff. That all came from you." I hope you'll join me on October 17, 2009 for what is sure to be another uplifting and fun event.
