JAY NOTHNAGLE to PLUNGE for Special Olympics Massachusetts for the 8th time on February 16, 2008! Why does he do it?!

Special Olympics gives me a chance to train and compete in many sports. So far I have done 12 of the 26 offered here in Massachusetts. Right now I am training in downhill and slalom skiing, volleyball, equestrian and candlepin bowling. In the summer I add sailing, softball and golf. I have travelled to three World Games and won a Gold Medal in each: 1995 in Powerlifting in Connecticut; in 1995 in Sailing in North Carolina; and in 2003 in Sailing in Ireland (can you believe that). I have tons of friends I have met through Special Olympics.

Our Team, the South Shore Mariners, wants to raise money to give back to the organization that sets up all our competitions and to help other special athletes get involved in Special Olympics too.
