Thank you for visiting my fundraising page for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Athens County!  I've been a Big Sister for a year and a half with my Little Sister Molly!  She's an awesome 12 year old who has grown a lot over our time together.  Since we've been matched I've seen her raise her grades at school (she's making the honor role!), make better choices regarding her friends, be a better influence on her friends, and she's opened up to me about her life and the challenges she faces.  I've also been able to build a relationship with her mom and two younger brothers over the past year.  Being a Big Sister is one of the best decisions I've made.  I get so much out of the program that I sometimes wonder if Molly is getting as much as me.  Molly has become a part of our family! 

This experience is one that I wish every child at Big Brothers Big Sisters had.  Unfortunately there are still kids in Athens County waiting for this type of relationship!  You can help!  Even if you don't live anywhere near Athens County! We need your help to ensure BBBS programming continues. Bowl for Kids' Sake is an annual campaign to benefit Athens and Vinton County children who need a special friend--a Big Brother or Big Sister--who can give them additional attention and guidance. As a non-profit organization, Big Brothers Big Sisters is dependent upon the generosity of the public in order to provide services for children. Bowl for Kids' Sake is our primary fundraiser and provides one fourth of our annual budget.
