On Saturday, November 7, 2009, I will depart for my fourth Shelter Partners trip, transporting more than thirty dogs from Shelby Humane to a shelter in New Hampshire where they will be adopted within the week. This trip marks a milestone for me, I will have driven more than 10,000 miles transporting dogs through the Shelter Partners program. Jenny Miller, my co-driver, and I will be blogging throughout the trip. You can follow our journey at http://newhampshirebound.blogspot.com.
You can learn more about the wonderful Shelter Partners Program, which has saved more than 2,700 lives, at www.shelbyhumane.org/transfer2.htm. Please consider donating to support the program through this website (it's totally secure), signing up to be a driver or just spreading the word.
Each year, Shelby Humane cares for approximately 8,000 homeless, abused and neglected animals. Any amount you can donate would be greatly appreciated. Moreover, please keep Shelby Humane in mind when you are looking to adopt an animal.
