As volunteers/foster parents for A Buddy For Life, Inc(abuddyforlife.org),  we have seen first hand societys throw away pets.  Nothing can be more unfair than to get a dog and then chain them up to a dog house devoid of any human interaction.  That is why we are chaining ourselves to a dog house for a 24 hour period at Happy Dog Healthy Dog Bakery (1825 Delaware Ave Wim, DE 19806) starting June 28, 2008 at 4PM to June 29, 2008 4PM, as part of Dogs Deserve Betters 2008 Annual Chain Off Event--to raise awareness of the thousands of dogs longing to be part of the family while wasting away on chains.....Please stop by and support us! There will be information about Dogs Deserve Better, chaining dogs, and information about A Buddy For Life, Inc.  The public are welcome and encouraged to stop by! Please help us support Dogs Deserve Better, an organization that rescues/rehabilitates chained dogs, and aims to educate the public about the horrors of chaining dogs.  Every little bit helps!

Our picture is a dog that A Buddy For Life, Inc, was finally able to unchain after two years.  This is the reason we are participating in this event..for dogs like him.  We named him Echo, as no one seemed to hear the echo of his desperate barking...his longing to be with a family.  We have promised him that he will NEVER see a chain again, and he is in a loving foster home until his forever home can be found.  For more information on Echo, please go to our webpage at abuddyforlife.org.
