As you probably know, I donated a kidney to my Mom in the summer of 2006.  She's doing better than ever and I'm back to running again.

Please help me support the ORU- their mission is raise public awareness concerning the need for organ and tissue donation.

What is "The Relay" you may ask and who is my team?   The Relay route is comprised of 199 miles, from Calistoga, CA to Santa Cruz, CA.  Each runner will take the baton for three turns (or legs) of the route.  Some will cover up to 20 miles total in less than 48 hours (yes, we'll run through the night).  We'll run roads, dirt and fire trails, through vineyards and pastures, through many different cities with wonderful views.

We're a group of women who hail from Australia, Canada, Hawaii, Italy, New Zealand, Michigan, and the Bay area of California.  Many of us will meet for the first time the day before the race.  While we come from different places with different lives, we're all passionate about one thing- coming together as team to celebrate life, each other, and those we hope to help.
