Description: Bringing health and hope to impoverished children and families in Haiti and Dominican Republic by providing medical care, education, clean water, vaccinations, and disability rehabilitation.
Mission: The mission of International Child Care USA is to respond to a loving God by promoting health and well-being for the children and families of Haiti and the Dominican Republic through caring service and the education of others. Our goal is to raise funds for health-related programs operated by our Haitian and Dominican offices and educate Americans about the health needs in these developing countries. We have a shared vision of health and wholeness for children and families in empowered communities, and all our activities fall within the scope of that vision.

| My personal message: |
In 1999 I traveled to Haiti for the first time. My biggest fear before that trip wasn't the heat, the work, the food, the living conditions or the mosquitoes. My biggest fear was would I do for two hours at the children's hospital we were going to visit. I wasn't sure I could handle being around kids, let alone kids suffering from malnutrition, TB and dehydration.
Soon after I arrived I was chosen by Ralph, seen here. Ralph peaked out around a post and that, as they say, was that. My heart was captured and broken at the same time. When it came time to leave (did those two hours ever go fast), I was not sure who had a harder time letting go.
Since my first visit in 1999 Joni and I have visited Grace Children's Hospital almost every year, and in 2006 I was asked to join the Board of Directors of International Child Care - USA and currently serve as Treasurer. ICC-USA raises money and helps with medical education in both Haiti and the Dominican Republic. Our biggest project is to help fund Grace Children's Hospital in Port-au-Prince, Haiti. The kids at the hospital suffer from a variety of maladies brought on by the conditions in which they live. Founded to combat rampant TB in Haiti, recent years have seen the need to fight other medical problems, including AIDS.
Joni and I would ask that you consider a one time or ongoing gift to ICC - USA so we can help the children in Haiti at Grace Children's Hospital. When you travel to these areas you are reminded of just how bad things can be, and how much any donation can help.

Thanks for your consideration.
