Training for a marathon and fundraising for an organization are both tasks that will be new and difficult for me.  It will be taxing on the body and on the mind.  I would not, could not do this for an organization that I didn't stand behind. I truly believe in what Boston Partners in Education does and what it will continue to do for Boston's public school students.

Boston Partners in Education supports stuggling students in Boston Public Schools by providing them with trained volunteer academic mentors.  What does that mean, you ask?  Volunteers not only help students better understand the subject that they struggle with but, they also become a positive role model, someone the student can trust.  Students advance academically and personally.  They gain the skills, self-confidence and motivation they need to succeed in school and throughout life.
