My Dear Friends,

The note that I am sending you concerns donor awareness. I am a member of a team that will travel to Pittsburg, PA in July. All of the members of the team have received an organ transplant and have been very blessed. All of you know how well I have progressed but some people in this country are not as fortunate. Many wait for the call that will give them a second chance at life. Our mission at the US Transplant Games is to demonstrate that the cause for awareness of organ and tissue donation is life changing.

There will be 1200 athletes participating at the games but nearly double that amount will attend the event as families of loved ones that gave the gift of life. Our crusade is sooo valid. The lives that are saved enable people like me to give back and truly look at life in a different way. The emotions that explode during the games show the importance of our mission and we are the ambassadors of this cause.

I write to you with the utmost humility. You all have been with me for the last three years as a support group. Your love has carried me and my family through tough times. I know that many charties and non-profit organization approach you with open pockets and you must pick and choose who is worthy of your time and money. The money is all important but message and the awareness is what it is all about for me. Any gifts made will be in my name and go directly to Team Rocky Mountain.

Once again I can't thank you enough for your past support. I have been so blessed to have such a fantastic family and friends. I will continue to embrace you as my friends  as I move forward with my passion for life.
