Mission: The mission of Creating Solutions is "To do good work for and with people with developmental disabilities and their families, to improve the quality of life and communities." We work to accomplish this through our two programs: "Disability Solutions" and The Down Syndrome - Autism Information Center. For more information visit www.disabilitysolutions.org.
Team UP for Solutions!
Ride, Joan, Ride!! Wow! What a ride! 9000 riders attempting to go 200 miles in two days. I felt all of you cheering me on, and believe me, today I needed it! I will be telling the story in my blog (www.creatingsolutions.blogspot.com) later this week. Thank you everyone for your support and generous gifts. Many wrote over the weekend to say they would mail a donation, too, so I am confident we will hit our fund raising goal. Just in case you were planning to donate, do not worry! This website will remain active until Mid August , so you can still send your gift for this drive today! A big thank you to my support team, Kelli Kessler, LMT who "worked on me" for an hour after the first night and then again at home when the ride was over. And to my brother, nephew Ian, and parents for schlepping me from start point to start point and bringing me home. This was a great experience on many levels. I'd love to have a "Team Solutions" that rides with me next year. If you are interested, let me know! Thanks again for your generous support in supporting the work of Creating Solutions!
