Welcome to my Steppin' Out To Cure Scleroderma Page! On October 18th, I'm taking part in the Steppin' Out to Cure Scleroderam Run/Walk in Creve Coeur Park. I'm walking to support the Scleroderma Foundation in its mission of Support, Education and Research. I'm also walking for my Dad, who has Scleroderma. Scleroderma is a widespread, auto-immune, connective tissue disease that involves changes in the skin, blood vessels, muscles, and internal organs. It is the 3rd most common auto-immune disease, affecting an estimated 300,000 people in the United States, 14,000 of whom live in Missouri. As an auto-immune disease, diagnosis is typically difficult with many patients spending years before being diagnosed correctly. (My Dad can attest to that.) The Scleroderma Foundation's goals are: 1. To provide support to patients living with Scleroderma 2. To educate doctors, patients and the public about scleroderma 3. To promote research into finding a cure for this devastating disease Please join me in helping the Scleroderma Foundation with its goals. We need your help. I'm asking you to please consider making a donation through this website. Many thanks for your support.
Love, John
