The ride is over but the fundraising continues until July 28.  I rode 48 miles July 3rd, accompanied by son Jake.  It was a breeze for Jake, but today (July 4th) I'm feeling it. Next year I'm not promising anything over 30. But I felt I had to make a serious sacrifice to match the high level of generosity and committment to ecology shown by my donors this year. 

The top individual fund raiser will win a Trek 7000 hybrid bike from Wheels in Motion (a bikestore on Washtenaw avenue). If I am the top fundraiser this year, I will enter everyone who sponsored me in a drawing to win the bike.  Last year I came in second, just $25 short.  This year, I'm going all out.  You could win this bike!  Thanks to the incredible generosity of numerous donors I've already topped my initial goal of 1200, so I reset the goal to 1600.
