A woman with HIV and her child are looking for a place to live. A young man needs testing but cannot afford the cost or the judgment from his family doctor. A man goes into long-term care to die only to walk out on his own two years later. A long time volunteer checks in with an HIV positive client to make sure they are doing okay. These are just some of the many stories of people in the Kansas City metropolitan area people needing help because of HIV/AIDS and getting help from caring people. For twenty years AIDS WALK Kansas City has been helping those in Kansas City with HIV/AIDS find shelter, health care, and support. The money raised by AIDS Walk helps benefits great HIV/AIDS organizations such as SAVE, Inc., Kansas City Free Health Clinic, Hope Care Center, and Good Samaritan Project. Your money also goes to help many other organizations who provide HIV/AIDS support and counseling.

Although antiviral drugs are giving people longer lives, expensive medication and sky-rocketing medical care make everyday living a struggle. You can help the men and women with HIV/AIDS live fuller lives by taking away the pain and suffering caused by indifference, prejudice, and poverty. You can make a difference by donating even just $15 to help someone fine shelter, medicine, testing, counseling, and dignity.
Please join me in my tenth year being associated with AIDS Walk by donating money. It is very easy and secure. Just click on the button below to start the process.
