My personal message:

Hi Everyone and thanks for visiting my website. I appreciate your interest in learning more about my quest.

I'm running the Chicago Marathon for World Vision.

World Vision works to tackle the root causes of poverty by working with children, families and their communities to provide things like clean water, health care, nutritious food, education, and economic opportunities.  The more I heard about this organization, the more I wanted to get involved.

You can support my efforts through Team World Vision by making a one-time tax-deductible donation. In viewing who has donated, I left the amount off - if you can't donate, I understand.

Adding a note of encouragement or thought will be a big help as well.

Again, thanks for listening.

John
