The Humane Society Of Rochester And Monroe County for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, Inc. was founded in 1873. Since the 1950's the Society has been known as Lollypop Farm, its name coming from the then popular Shirley Temple song - On the Good Ship Lollipop. The Humane Society at Lollypop Farm recently adopted the following vision statement: "We envision a time when our community celebrates the human-animal bond; embraces the mutual benefits therein; and treats all fellow beings with care, compassion and respect." Its mission of building lifelong bonds between people and animals through education, community outreach programs and the prevention of cruelty will ultimately lead to achieving its vision.

My personal message:
Every Year, Lollypop Farm takes in 15,000 unwanted, abandoned, or abused animals. For Make A Difference Day, me and my Second Grade class from Holy Trinity School are raising money for the 12th Annual Lollypop Farm Telethon on March 1st so that we can help make a difference in the lives of those animals! I adopted(well, me and my mom!) a dog and cat from there and I love having them in my family. Please help us help the animals! I really appreciate your help-
