Our personal message:

Son, brother, friend, colleague, compassionate healer, pediatrician, medical geneticist, brilliant researcher, kind and gentle, reserved, witty, patient . . . Respected by all who were fortunate enough to meet Joe. Joe was an inspiration because of his steadfast and untiring devotion to Angelman families and to ASF. I know all realize that his scientific skills, and patience, were unparalleled--Dr. Charles Williams

Too short was the time Joe spent on earth, but so many benefited in a multitude of ways by the quiet, unassuming presence of such a remarkable man. Few people will live a life that so profoundly touches the lives of so many. I can't even count the number of families I have met over the years for whom Joe has been a "rockstar", a "savior", and most importantly a friend and an advocate--Dr. Elizabeth Thiele

Never to be replaced . . .

Always to be fondly remembered. . .

Joe, we will miss you beyond what our words can express.
