About Joya Scholars:

JOYA Scholars is a program that inspires and prepares students from the Garnet Neighborhood in Fullerton to succeed through higher education.

From the outside looking in, high school students in Fullerton are graduating at a rate above 90%. The assumption is that these students will persist in attending and graduating from a four-year college or university. However, the families in the Garnet Neighborhood of Fullerton have yet to boast of college graduates emerging from their community.

This spring between March 1st - April 30th, JOYA Scholars is launching the 100 Campaign to invite one hundred people to donate one hundred dollars each to bring about greater educational opportunities for the kids in the Garnet Neighborhood. Your contribution will go towards our one-on-one mentoring program, college preparation seminars and campus tours, advanced tutoring, and the creation of a learning center in the neighborhood.

Join the JOYA Scholars 100 Campaign by donating $100 now. And better yet, be part of the movement by creating your own fundraising page and inviting your friends to join! Then, come celebrate the 100 Campaign Closing Reception on April 30th at PÄS Gallery in Downtown Fullerton.

Eligible Donors who give $100 will have their names automatically added to a drawing for an iPad2 to be drawn at our celebration.  Winner will need to be present to win.
