Joya Scholars is a program that inspires and prepares students from the Garnet Neighborhood in Fullerton to succeed through higher education. From the outside looking in, high school students in Fullerton are graduating at a rate above 90%. The assumption is that these students will persist in attending and graduating from a four-year college or university. However, the families in the Garnet Neighborhood of Fullerton have yet to boast of college graduates emerging from their community. This spring between April 16th - May 19th, JOYA Scholars is launching its 2nd Annual 100 Campaign. You can play a vital role on our team through the financial support of the educational programs and opportunities for students in the Garnet Neighborhood. Your generous contribution will go directly toward our one-on-one mentoring programs for high school and college students, advanced tutoring, college-preparation seminars and campus tours, and the creation of a learning center in the neighborhood.
