You may know that when I punch the time clock every day at work, it's at Silent Blessings Deaf Ministries. What you may not know is that this is not just a job.  It's a passion!  Our mission at Silent Blessings is to bring spiritual healing to Deaf and hard-of-hearing people and their families. You can't do that without believing in what you're doing!

      One reason I wanted to contact you is that I'm really excited about our latest project, Dr. Wonder's Workshop, a television program created especially for Deaf children and done entirely by Deaf actors.  It is also voiced over for hearing kids and captioned in English and Spanish.  This is the first time such a show has ever been on the air.  Season One has been seen not only in the US and Canada but in other countries as well.  And now Season Two has is being broadcast and is available in over 300,000,000 homes worldwide every week!  If you'd like to see some clips from the show, visit the DWW website www.drwonder.org.  You can also find out more about Silent Blessings by going to our website www.silentblessings.org.

     As you can imagine, this is a big undertaking for a small Christian non-profit, even though we have partnered with 2 other ministries to produce the program and other resources related to it.  We are behind deadlines and short on funds to bring this 5-year project to completion.  At the same time, we continue to share our vision in churches around the country encouraging them to reach out to the Deaf, one of the largest unreached people groups in North America.

     So I would like to ask you to join me by making a contribution to Silent Blessings to carry on this vital ministry.  I would like to try to raise $1,000 to pay to tape the SignSongs for Season 3.  Now if you know me at all, you know I love music.  Although the main audience for our show is Deaf children, Dr. Wonder's Workshop still reaches thousands of hearing kids because of having sound added.  And the songs are a vital part of every episode.  I believe we can do it, and you will be changing the lives of both Deaf and hearing children and adults for years to come.
