Established in 1901, our humane society – which was known first as the Burlington Humane Society, then as the Humane Society of Greater Burlington, and since 1997, as the Humane Society of Chittenden County – has grown with the community to serve its changing population. HSCC primarily serves the most populous and fastest growing county in Vermont. Chittenden County’s 532 square miles are home to 146,500 people, almost 25% of the state’s total population (U.S. Census Bureau, 2001). In addition, HSCC serves as the principal sheltering organization for Grand Isle County, a neighboring county which consists of 83 square-miles and a population of 7,000 people, with no county humane society of its own.

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page!
Sequoia and Kuruk will be taking to the trails of Battery Park in Burlington this Sunday to raise money for all the homeless animals at the Chittenden Humane Society that don't have it as good as they do! (I and my friend Martha will be joining them to hold the leashes!)
Donating through this website is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to support their fundraising efforts.
Since they're jumping in to this pretty close to the event date, Sequoia and Kuruk decided to set a pretty modest fundraising goal of $100 - but they met that in like 15 minutes! So, they asked me to double it to $200! Any donations of any amount are appreciated. Please donate a TON of money if you can afford to! Homeless, sad-eyed, lonesome puppies and kittens need your help!! In these tough economic times, a lot of people are being forced to give up their pets because they can't afford to keep them - how sad! The best we can do is see they have proper care while waiting for a new forever home!
Many thanks for your support -- and don't forget to forward this to anyone who you think might want to donate too!
