Thank you for visiting my Personal Fundraising Page. Having recently been diagnosed with stage I melanoma, I have felt physically vulnerable in a way I never had before -- but this experience, along with the support of my family and friends, also inspired me to push my body to the most positive extreme I could imagine, and to train for the 2009 Boston Marathon! In the process, I'm hoping to help raise awareness about the risks of tanning and sun exposure, and to educate the public that "Early Detection Saves Lives."
My story is a happy one -- after two months of uncertainty about my health, a second opinion overturned my original diagnosis, and I feel very blessed. However, I remain committed as ever to the cause of melanoma awareness -- for I'm all too aware that only early detection kept my diagnosis as favorable as it was.
Your supporting me in this process would make it all the more meaningful for me. Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to make a contribution to our fundraising efforts. Many thanks for your support -- and don't forget to forward this to anyone who you think might want to donate too!
