The Richmond Animal League, Inc. is Richmond’s oldest non-profit, no-kill humane society. RAL was founded in 1979 by a group of local good Samaritans concerned about the hundreds of stray animals in the area. We are dedicated to providing complete care and shelter to our animals until we can place them in loving permanent homes.
Our Mission:
Saving lives - providing hope, help and homes for animals in need. Our goal is the be the leader in Chesterfield County in providing homeless animals with temporary housing, medical treatment, sterilization, and quality care until they are adopted to permanent, loving homes. Our commitment to the no-kill doctrine (or "philosophy") will be promoted through our education programs that teach the imporatance of spay/neuter, responsible pet ownership, and compassion for companion animals.

Dear Friends,
This year I am participating in the "
Best in Show
" competition for the Richmond Animal League. As most of you know Jim and I are major supporters of animals and the vital shelters that save them. I am very lucky to have four rescued animals. Bunny, Chloe, Isaac, and Kitty have given us so much love over the years. I cannot imagine our lives without them. When I became a stay at home Mom for Sarah twenty months ago, I knew that I wanted to find a way to volunteer for something close to my heart. When Lorie Roberts suggested that I become a candidate for RAL, I jumped at the chance to participate.
The Richmond Animal League is a local
donation
based shelter that places over 800 animals in loving homes every year. I am so excited to be participating in the fundraising efforts this year. As part of the competition, I will be running against other RAL supporters. Any donation that is made is tax deductible and will help me raise enough money to hopefully become "
Best in Show
". Please help me support this wonderful organization and there ongoing mission:
Saving lives- providing hope, help and homes for animals in need.
