My personal message:
I lost my brother, Mark to suicide 16 years ago. Mark’s depression went undetected, but I was able to help my father get diagnosed with major depression after my brother’s death. My loss compelled me to start Families for Depression Awareness, to help families, especially family caregivers, recognize and cope with depressive disorders.

On October 8, 2007, I will walk/run, along with anyone who wants to join me, at the Tufts HealthPlan 10K in Boston to raise money for Families for Depression Awareness.

Please help us by making a gift to help other families recognize depression, get them healthy through treatment and support, and prevent suicides. Depression is the leading cause of suicide. It is treatable.
