Hello! My name is Kaleb Kaschalk and I am competing in an Ironman Triathlon in Nice, France on June 22, 2008!
2.4 mile swim
112 mile bike
26.2 mile run
I am competing in an Ironman to raise awareness for cancer research and money for the V Foundation. My late grandfather Frank Kaschalk died from cancer in April, 2006. He worked in a steel mill his whole life so my two sisters and I could afford private schooling and college. Through his hard work, dedication, and love, I was able to attend St.Marys grade school in Berea, St.Edward High School, and I am currently a freshman at Youngstown State University majoring in criminal justice. My dream is to become a Cleveland Police Officer and help the community like my grandfather helped me and my sisters.
Quick Cancer Facts:
-Cancer kills about one American per minute
-1 out of 2 men will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime
-1 out of 3 women will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime
-3 out of 4 American families will have a family member diagnosed with cancer
-Behind accidents, cancer is the leading killer of children
I am raising money with the painful understanding that I cannot bring back my grandpa, but with the amazing hope that this money will help find a cure, help someone you love, or even save your own life. Donate in memory of a loved one who lost their battle with cancer, donate for a person currently battling cancer, or just donate becuase you care.
Why the V Foundation for Cancer Research?
"We need your help. I need you help. We need money for research. It may not save my life. It may save my children's lives. It may save someone you love."

Donating through this website is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to support my fundraising efforts. All money donated goes towards cancer research, I am not raising money for myself.
Many thanks for your support -- and don't forget to forward this to anyone who you think might want to donate too!
