These children live in an Orphan Ministry in Tanzania. The Ministry has ordered PC's through the World Computer Exchange, an organzation which provides low cost PC's to needy organizations throughout the world. The Ministry's goal this summer is to establish a computer training program, so that as these children leave primary and secondary school, they can find a meaningful job in the community and be able to support themselves. I have volunteered to go to Tanzania this summer, to set up this training center, for children ages 3-18.
As many of you know, we adopted Sam. He is a daily joy to us, and I can't imagine life without him! I have often thought that if ever the chance came up for me to help other orphans, I would do it. This opportunity seems like a wonderful way for me to give back.
I would like to raise money to purchase software, computer parts, networking equipment, tools, and other necessary computer supplies that they will not be able to affford. I also need to raise money for intercountry travel, basic living expenses, and fees associated with this volunteer work.
