Dear Friends and Family,
This coming February I will be joining a team that will climb Kilimanjaro, (the highest walkable mountain in the world at 19,563 feet). After the climb we'll continue on to Rwanda to meet up with our sponsored children and serve the local community through building homes, providing food and medical supplies. In addition, we've been given the opportunity to train more than 900 pastors who are interested in learning how to run the Alpha Course (a ten-week introduction to the Christian faith).
Please pray for the success and safety of our team and that thousands of lives will be transformed. I have been challenged to raise $7500 for this effort, so if you'd like to sponsor me, all donations will be tax deductible and will be designated to the "Climb for Rwanda" campaign.
My Goals:
- Raise money to benefit Rwanda Missions, a ministry of Trinity Baptist in New York City where my brother-in-law James is an Associate Pastor. The ministry provides food, education, and healthcare for needy children in Rwanda.
- Climb the tallest mountain on the African continent, Kilimanjaro.
- Meet our World Vision sponsored children, Marie Goreth (age 7) and Vumilia Nzamukosha (age 10).
- Serve the Rwandan people in the name of Jesus.
- Inspire family and friends to do something that stretches them beyond their comfort zone and has eternal impact. Bottom line: I Dare You To Move
- Dedicate all efforts to my Mom who is now with the Lord. She passed away from brain cancer in the summer of ’09.
