We are so proud to report that The Kent County SPCA, Camden DE is sponsoring another animal advocate, Patricia Haddock, Animal World USA, Mid-Atlantic Regional Director, http://www.animalworldusa.org as she becomes a "chainer" in the nationwide event Chain Off 2008 sponsored by Dogs Deserve Better.
Patricia will be joined in solidarity by MaryAnn D’Amato, Community Outreach Manager for the Kent SPCA and a Kent County Delaware Animal Care & Control Officer. They will be there to provide first hand awareness as only a SPCA can since they see the horrific cruelty of dogs who are left on the end of a chain or in a kennel their entire life in the state of Delaware.
The Chain off will take place at the at the Browseabout Books, in Downtown Rehoboth Delaware, at 133 Rehoboth Avenue, Saturday July 5, from 9 AM to 3 PM http://www.browseaboutbooks.com/ Please stop by to say hello and to donate.
The animal advocates here in Delaware are so proud to see Mary Ann D’Amato and the entire staff of the Kent County SPCA in action again. Last week the entire staff showed up and supported the 24 hour Chain off in Georgetown DE. Murrey Goldwaithe, the Executive Director came personally after midnight (with a cup of coffee) to check on the chainer and another Delaware Animal Care Officer Richard Holland checked on her after 1:00 AM to be sure she was safe!
Our Kent County SPCA is always willing to do whatever it takes to make a difference in the lives of the animals and people who need their care and protection here in DE day in and day out! http://www.kentcountyspca.com/
Patricia Haddock is renowned for being the State Organizer of Delaware's 1st “Week for the Animals” April 19th-27th, 2008 and she is currently the State Organizer, PA Week for the Animals www.animalweekpa.com Coming this September
