Hello family and friends,
I have been selected to play on the WFCA All-Star Charity Football Team for the North. This is a great honor and has been one of my goals since I first started playing football. I am proud to be only the third player from my high school to be granted this opportunity. Football, to me, is more than a sport, it has become a way of life. I have put many years of hardwork into football, the lessons I have learned will benefit me for the rest of my life.
I am also honored to be a part of this fundraising effort for the Children's Hospital of Wisconsin because of the help they give to children like Dylan Fetzer. Dylan is an elementary student in my school district with cerebral palsy. Fundraising efforts such as this one have helped support Dylan and his family in more ways than anyone can imagine. Last spring there was a benefit for Dylan at our school. Dylan was scheduled to throw the opening pitch at our baseball game one afternoon. However, the game was cancelled due to rain. This didn't stop Dylan one bit. After filling the gymnasium with every student in the district and numerous family and friends, Dylan, our catcher, and myself walked out onto the basketball court. Our catcher walked a few strides away from us as I handed Dylan the baseball. In front of a "sold out crowd", Dylan Fetzer threw out the first pitch that day.
When I heard that I had made the All-Star team of Wisconsin I knew that not only do I have the opportunity to play the great game of football, but I have the opportunity to reach out and help the children.
There are many ways to support the cause. The first is by donating here at this website, its fast and easy. The second way is by taking out an advertisement in the the All-Star game program. This ad will be seen by over a thousand potential fans. The third and final way to participate includes purchasing footballs for a dollar at all of Pepin and Plum City's local businesses. These footballs are the most simple of the three. Just donate any dollar amount, put your name on the ball and the business owner will then hang it up around their establishment, showing your support for an amazing cause.
If you have any questions feel free to contact me at anytime, my cell phone number is (715) 563-2305.
Thank you for your time and thank you for supporting me and the Children's Hospital of Wisconisn.
