Thank you for visiting my fundraising page!

We are raising money to construct a much-needed school building for the Jawahar Matriculation School in southern India. This school, which provides education to approx. 50 kids is losing its current old school building (which is falling apart) and we have started the construction of a new and strong building...but we need your help in raising the $28,000 that is still needed to complete the school! To raise funds for this school, a team of us has climbed Mount Shasta in California from June 18-21. We made it to approximately 13,000 feet (very close to the summit of ~14,000 feet!) before rapidly changing weather conditions with extremely strong wind gusts forced us to retreat. The same evening, a lot of lightning was visible in the skies (which led to many forest fires in the region!). A thousand thanks to many of you who have already sent us your sponsorship donations; your encouragements gave us the strength while we were facing the very hea. Because of our efforts, a sponsor has agreed to continue matching any donation that is given by the end of August for the Jawahar School 1:1 …so that means that if you donate $20, you will have raised $40! If you donate $100, that will mean $200!
Double the donation amount…double the satisfaction for you for knowing that you are making a difference...and double the progress towards our goal of completing the construction of the school.

So please help us spread the word. If together we can raise $14,000 in pledges, then we will have raised $28,000.
