Get Ready for Barktober Fest 2011!

Barktober Fest 2011 is coming to Kokomo October 8, 2011, at Highland Park. We have new events planned for our participants, including new games, new contests and new kids' activities. Visit our vendors!  Help your best friend play doggie games!  And most important, raise funds to help Humane Society animals in need of assistance.  Registration begins at 9:00 a.m., and the event will end at about noon.  We're so excited about Barktober Fest and about this new way to raise money for our animals.  So, get started!  Set up your fundraising page and let your friends know that you'll be walking for the animals.  Check this page and our web site (www.kokomohumane.org) for more information.  And, thanks for caring about our animals!

A Word About Donations
The Kokomo Humane Society is a 501(c)3 and was established in 1891, making it one of the oldest non-profit organizations in Howard County. Although Animal Control is funded through city and county government, the Humane Society is funded by private monetary donations and memberships. We do not receive funding through any national organizations such as the ASPCA or HSUS. Through your tax-free donations the Kokomo Humane Society is able to assist thousands of needy animals each year. Your generous donations help to support not only the care and sheltering of helpless and homeless animals, but also enable us to continue providing services to the community such as adoption, humane education and volunteering. Thank you!
