Special Olympics Florida provides year-round sports training and competition, in 20 different Olympic-type sports, for over 16,000 children and adults with intellectual disabilities throughout Florida. Founded in 1968 by Eunice Kennedy Shriver, Special Olympics gives people with intellectual disabilities continual opportunities to develop fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy and participate in the sharing of gifts, skills and friendship with their peers, families and communities. Welcome to my World Summer Games fundraising page. As you know, I've been selected to represent Florida and the United States at the 2007 Special Olympics World Summer Games in Shanghai, China, October 2-11.
Since Special Olympics never charges me or my family a fee for my participation, your support in raising the $5,000 it will cost Special Olympics Florida to send me to China would be greatly appreciated.
Any amount will help and be sure to check out www.specialolympicsflorida.org before and after the Games to stay up to date on Team Florida's preparation and to see how we do in China in October.
