Special Olympics is more than just a track meet. When an athlete walks into a gymnasium, steps up to the plate, or picks up a basketball... they are transformed. They are no longer framed by negative stereotypes and misconceptions about intellectual disabilities. They are champions in their own eyes, and those around them begin to see--often for the first time--what they can do. But for every athlete we reach, there are more still waiting for their chance.
The Kansas Law Enforcement Torch Run (LETR) is a year-round grassroots movement that raises funds and awareness for Special Olympics Kansas. It is an integral part of the success of the 5,489 athletes. Whether you are registering for an event, donating to an individual/team or supportong one of our causes, we thank you. With your support, more people will have the opportunity to overcome the odds and shine. And please, tell a friend about Special Olympics Kansas!
