I'm running the 2010 Boston Marathon and need your support!

February 28, 2010 will soon be here.   No, the BAA has not changed the date of the Boston Marathon, rather February 28 will mark two years since Liam completed his last cancer treatment for Rhabdomyosarcoma.   On one hand, it seems so long ago, but on the other hand, memories and anxiety of those days can come flashing back in an instant.

I’m working on a list of 101 reasons why to run the Boston Marathon for the Mass General Marathon team, but most importantly, it is to give back to the institution that has taken such good care of Liam and our family.

The funds raised by the Mass General Marathon Team support research into the causes of childhood cancer and help to initiate effective new treatments for young patients.  So many of you have been there for us in the past, and I hope once again I can count on you to come through!
