My personal message:

Dear Friends and Family,

I will be participating in the 2008 Gift of Life Walk to support kidney disease, diabetes awareness and prevention, and organ donation education. As a recipient of a heart transplant over seven years ago, I am personally aware of the need for organ donors. There are over 98,000 people waiting for life saving organs nationwide. Unfortunately not all of them will be as lucky as I was.

The walk will take place along a 3 mile stretch of Lake Michigan, starting at the Soldier Field Great Lawn. Please join me on Sunday, June 29, 2008 for this great cause! Registration will begin at 9am and the walk will start at 10:30. Your donations to the National Kidney Foundation of Illinois will benefit diabetes research and prevention and assist in the effort to raise awareness of the need for organ donors. Please pass this on to anyone who may be interested. Thank You!
