HOLA!
First of all, THANK YOU for taking the time to even consider sponsoring me to run for Guatemala!
As most of you know, Pre-Medical Students are incredibly pressured to conduct research, from laboratory to field work, along with all of the other extra curricular activities! I have been very blessed to have this amazing opportunity to work with Engineers Without Borders (EWB) and be titled as Health Care Coordinator and Medical Research Lead. This cause means very much to me, not only because I have volunteered many hours of work and organizing, but I am also GUATEMALAN!
EWB is composed of versatile professionals and students who take the time out of their busy schedules to help underserved communities all over the world. The EWB Inland Empire chapter is working for the community of Pastores, Guatemala! This town only receives as little as 2 hours of water a day; some families only receive water before sunrise.
This race, which I am proud to be organizing as well as racing in, will help raise funds for our project, which is to give the community of Pastores, Guatemala sustainable and reliable system to receive clean drinking water. Again, I thank you for taking the time to read, let alone donate to a wonderful cause! ANY TYPE of contributions are greatly appreciated ($1, $5, to $5,000 :))!!!
I also hope you can make it out to the race!!! EXERCISE not only for those in need, but for your health!!!! I look forward to this amazing challenge! Have a wonderful September! I thank you!
