90 K in 90 Days Medical Expense Drive 2012

90 K in 90 Days Medical Expense Drive 2012

We are currently in the midst of our 90 thousand in 90 days campaign where we are attempting to raise $90,000 between now and March 31st to help support the medical needs of the animals in our care.

Two of the many animals that were helped by the drive are Angel and Dora:

Dora is a true to breed Bernese Mountain Dog. She was only 7 months old, but had already experienced great trauma by the time she came to us last year.  She was involved in an accident that resulted in the shattering of one of her rear legs. The damage was too great to repair, but amputation of the leg would allow Dora to survive and have an excellent prognosis for a wonderful and full life. Dora’s owners could not afford this surgery. The owner’s surrendered her to our Shelter so that we could the veterinarian perform the life-saving surgery. After receiving a few days of post-operative care at the clinic, Dora was released to us and we were able to place her into a foster home for recovery.  She adjusted quickly to the foster home that we placed her in and after fully recovering was adopted into a new home!

Angel is a beautiful pastel tortoiseshell kitten that was thrown out of a car window when she was 4 weeks old.  A kind lady in the car behind stopped, picked her up and brought her to our shelter. We placed on her a foster home where she could recover from her trauma and learn to trust people again.  After six months in the foster home, Angel found a wonderful family who had previously adopted from us.  She is now enjoying her adopted home with her new sister.

We expect 2012 medical expenses to be just as extensive if not even greater.  We would truly appreciate if you might consider supporting this campaign.
